Type D rubber fender
In order to reduce the impact force when the ship rests on the dock, anti-collision equipment must be installed at the front of the dock to prevent damage to the ship and the dock due to direct collision with the dock. China's ports began to use rubber fenders around 1970. At present, the rubber fenders used in the world can be divided into five types: compression type, balloon type, shear type, rotary type and hydraulic type, the first two are widely used. Most of the rubber fenders used in various ports in China are domestic compression fenders, including cylindrical, V-shaped, drum type, floating, foam rubber and W-shaped rubber fenders.
With various dock structures, rubber fenders have been installed in various ports, including drums, inflatable caps, D-shapes, W-shapes, cylinders and floating types. The choice of fender structure depends on the type of vessel, the structure of the dock, and conditions such as tides and wind waves. Rubber fender has the advantages of large absorption energy, small reaction force, wear-resistant, insect-resistant, simple installation, easy maintenance, etc. The domestic fender has reached a higher level.
Next, talk about D-type rubber fender, D-type rubber fender is a product developed on the basis of traditional fender. The original traditional fender is fixed in the middle, which is easy to make the fender fall off during use. The super D-type fender is embedded in the entire steel plate, and the bolt is expanded and anchored in double rows. The anchorage force is increased by about two points compared to the original fender. The use indicates that the anchorage force meets the design requirements and is designed and used.
In addition to the small dock design, the Type D rubber fender is also used as secondary protection (among other fenders) for the upper front quay. It is usually used for sequential arrangement. Prevent the ship from hitting the dock when the ship is not moored properly.
Type D rubber fender function: Due to the small size of the bottom fender, only mounting bolts, it is suitable for frame type wharf and upper revetments. Easy to install and easy to replace. Rubber (consumption) has a higher energy absorption, but a higher reaction force (lower unit reaction force in compressed fenders).
