What kind of fender are there?
fender (护舷), also known as the ship's fender, is a flexible buffer device used at the edge of the dock or ship, which is made of wood and rubber. It is mainly used to slow down the impact force between the ship and the dock or the ship in the process of docking or mooring, and reduce or eliminate the damage to the ship and the dock.
(1) Cylinder type rubber fender:
Features Low reaction force, small surface pressure, reasonable energy absorption; When berthing, it has strong adaptability to ship rolling and pitching and is not affected by the size of the ship, and it is widely used and convenient for installation and maintenance, especially for the old wharf.
(2) Semi-circular (D type) rubber fender:
Features moderate reaction force, higher energy absorption than cylinder type; Installation more convenient work; Due to the small width size of the bottom, it is especially suitable for frame type wharf and ship side installation.
(3) DO type rubber fender:
Features The reaction energy absorption is higher than the D-type fender; The installation strength and service life are greatly improved compared with D-type fender. Suitable for frame type wharf.
Arch type (V type) rubber fender: features moderate reaction, high energy absorption; Firm installation, convenient;
Suitable for all types of docks.
(4) DA type rubber fender:
Features with high absorption energy and low reaction characteristics; The product has higher stress dispersion and long service life; The front end of the guard plate can reduce the surface pressure; Complete specifications and various installation methods; Easy to replace.
(5) Drum rubber fender:
Features Low reaction force, high energy absorption; The surface pressure is below 25 tons/m 2; The mechanical properties of inclined compression decrease little. ∏ type rubber fender: characteristic low reaction force, high energy absorption; Easy to install; Generally suitable for large and medium-sized terminals.
